Kayenta Desert Arboretum was founded in 1999 by volunteers dedicated to preserving and the plants and flowers of the desert. As a non-profit organization, the Kayenta Desert Arboretum is supported by donations and local volunteers.

Every spring, the Kayenta Arboretum welcomes the public to a plant sale on the 3rd weekend of March. Visit our plant sale to enjoy some of these incredible desert beauties.

Locating the arboretum

The arboretum is located in Kayenta Art Village, running parallel to Kayenta Parkway. Beginning at the northern Coyote Gulch parking lot, enjoy walking along the path to enjoy the different plants and cheerful sculptures of the arboretum.

Be sure to follow the crosswalk across the street to experience the full arboretum and its many plant beds Following the trail to the end brings you to the Desert Rose Labyrinth and Sculpture Gardens.
